Flutter development company

We build Flutter apps that share one Dart codebase across iOS and Android, and web or desktop where it makes sense, with native integrations through platform channels and a release pipeline that signs, tests and ships builds to both stores.

Flutter apps built for both stores from one codebase

Krapton is a Flutter development company that builds cross-platform mobile apps in Dart for startups and product teams who want iOS and Android to ship together. Flutter draws its own UI with the Impeller renderer instead of wrapping native widgets, which gives pixel-consistent screens and smooth custom animation, but it also means platform conventions such as iOS navigation gestures, accessibility labels and text scaling must be handled deliberately. Our engineers pick state management to match the app: Riverpod for most products, Bloc where a team wants strict event-driven flows, and plain ValueNotifier for small screens. Routing uses go_router with deep links, data classes come from freezed and json_serializable, and native SDKs connect through Pigeon-generated platform channels or Dart FFI. Flutter is a weaker choice when the app is mostly a thin wrapper around platform features that change every OS release, such as home-screen widgets or watch apps, or when your web product depends on search traffic, since Flutter web renders to a canvas.

Flutter development services

  • Cross-platform app builds

We build iOS and Android apps from one Flutter codebase with flavors for dev, staging and production, adaptive layouts for tablets, and Material 3 or Cupertino styling per platform.

  • Native integration and plugins

When a package does not exist, we write platform channels with Pigeon or FFI bindings to Swift, Kotlin or C libraries for payments, Bluetooth, camera pipelines or vendor SDKs.

  • Migration to Flutter

We move apps from React Native, Xamarin or two native codebases screen by screen, or embed Flutter into an existing app with add-to-app so users never see a big-bang release.

  • Offline-first data layers

Local storage with drift or sqflite, a repository layer that queues writes while offline, and sync logic that resolves conflicts, so field and retail apps keep working without signal.

  • Performance and jank fixes

We profile in DevTools on real low-end Android devices, remove unnecessary rebuilds, move parsing to isolates, cache images correctly and fix shader or layout work that drops frames.

  • Release automation

Codemagic, GitHub Actions or fastlane builds signed artifacts, runs tests, uploads to TestFlight and Google Play internal testing, and manages staged rollouts with crash monitoring attached.

Why teams choose Krapton for Flutter

Senior engineers, fixed scope, and code you own — the things agencies promise and rarely deliver.

  • Tests at every layer

Unit tests for logic, widget tests for components and golden tests for visual regressions run on every pull request, with integration_test or Patrol covering critical journeys on devices.

  • Packages chosen with care

Before adding a pub.dev dependency we check maintenance activity, platform support and native code, because an abandoned plugin can block a Flutter upgrade for months.

  • Platform feel respected

Back gestures, safe areas, dynamic type, TalkBack and VoiceOver labels are checked on both platforms, so the app does not feel like an Android port on an iPhone.

  • Architecture that scales with features

Feature-first folders, a repository layer between UI and APIs, and dependency injection through Riverpod providers keep screens testable as the app grows past its first release.

How a Flutter project runs with Krapton

  1. 01

    Scope and prototype

We map screens, offline needs and native integrations, then build a clickable Flutter prototype on real phones to settle navigation early.

  2. 02

    Foundation sprint

Flavors, theming, routing, state management, API client, error reporting and CI are set up before feature work, so later screens follow one pattern.

  3. 03

    Feature sprints with builds

Each sprint delivers installable builds through TestFlight and Play internal testing, so you review real behavior on your own phones rather than screenshots.

  4. 04

    Launch and upgrades

We handle store review, staged rollout and Crashlytics monitoring, then keep Flutter and Dart versions current, testing each stable release before adopting it.

Flutter development: questions answered

What should I expect from a Flutter development company?

Expect a working app on both stores plus the setup that keeps it maintainable. That means a documented architecture, state management chosen for your app, automated tests at unit, widget and integration level, CI that produces signed builds, crash reporting, and store listings prepared with you. You should also get honest advice on which features need native code and which packages carry long-term risk.

Flutter or React Native: which should we pick?

Pick Flutter when you want highly custom UI, consistent rendering across devices and a single team writing Dart; pick React Native when your team already writes React and TypeScript or you want to share logic with a React web app. Both reach near-native performance for typical business apps. React Native renders real native components, while Flutter paints its own, which affects how closely each follows OS design changes.

Can Flutter be added to our existing native app?

Yes. Flutter’s add-to-app support lets you embed Flutter screens or modules into an existing iOS or Android app, so you can rebuild one flow at a time instead of rewriting everything. It works well for self-contained features like onboarding or checkout. The tradeoffs are a larger binary, extra engine memory while Flutter is active, and two build systems to maintain until the migration finishes.

Is Flutter good enough for web and desktop apps?

Partly. Flutter web suits app-like experiences behind a login, such as dashboards, internal tools or a companion to your mobile app, especially with the WebAssembly build. It is a poor choice for public, SEO-dependent pages because content renders to a canvas and initial load is heavier than HTML. Flutter desktop for Windows, macOS and Linux is stable and fits internal tools, though some plugins lack desktop support.

What determines the cost of Flutter development services?

The feature list and the native work behind it determine cost. Main drivers are the number of screens and user roles, offline sync, native integrations such as Bluetooth, payments or background location, whether web or desktop targets are included, backend work if no API exists yet, design complexity and animation, and compliance needs such as HIPAA or PCI scope. Migrations add the cost of mapping existing behavior first.
